Voice training and coaching

The human voice is one of the most powerful communication tools we possess, but most of us rarely give its capabilities a second thought. In fact, most people say they don’t like the sound of their own voice.

Using techniques learnt from working with the deaf and hard-of-hearing, performance arts and business communications, voice training is fun, fascinating and very useful.

How will I benefit?

You’ll recognise your vocal strengths and weaknesses, adapt your voice when necessary and make a greater impact whenever you speak. You’ll feel more confident making presentations and networking at events. And you’ll get better results in online and face to face meetings and on the telephone.

What will I learn?

Dealing with nerves and excess adrenaline

Gaining a more powerful, authoritative voice

Using pitch variation to break monotony

Stopping people interrupting you when you speak

Slowing down to minimise rambling and increase power

Warming up the organs or articulation to improve diction

Projecting the voice without shouting

Using pause, pace and passion to captivate the listener

Dealing with poor acoustics

Who should attend?

Anyone wanting to improve their personal communication skills.

What else do I need to know?

Voice training and coaching can be done individually, in small groups; online or face to face; in one long session or spread over several. We can discuss the method that suits you best.
