I’m always telling my students stop writing ‘we are proud…’ in press releases and copy. It’s boastful and self-congratulatory! But… I have to confess to being proud to have been part of the team who wrote and produced the CIPR skills guide ‘Helping organisations when they need to communicate suicide’.

We were hugely aware of how our words could be interpreted and had input from numerous organisations, including Samaritans.
